Animal Control

The City of Hereford Animal Control Department is housed within the Hereford Police Department and falls under the supervision of the Patrol Lieutenant. We have two full time Animal Control Officers, who provide services 7 days a week. Animal Control Officers are tasked with taking all animal related calls for service, and with maintaining the health and safety of all animals housed at the City of Hereford Animal Shelter. Our Animal Control Officers work closely with the Deaf Smith County Humane Society in order to get as many of the animals housed at the shelter adopted into new families.
